Seaport World Trade Center Wedding Videographer :: Boston, MA :: Lindsay and Chris (Part II - Reception)

Immediately following the ceremony, Mary (one of our second shooters) and I grabbed our gear and headed to the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, MA. Not only does the Seaport have some amazing views of the Boston skyline, but the beautiful design of their multiple ballrooms make them perfect venues for weddings. We made use of the spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows in the Harborview Ballroom to capture many of the reception activities using just the ambient light. I love how natural the lighting looks!  Mary positioned her camera in the center of the ballroom on a tripod to capture medium- and wide-angle shots of the wedding party entering the ballroom.  I positioned my camera on a monopod near the door (through which the wedding party was entering) to capture some nice close-up shots.  Right before Lindsay and Chris were introduced, I quickly ran behind the closed door to capture some candid reaction shots of the two of them awaiting to be announced!  None of the guests could see what was happening behind the closed door, so this semi-private moment before being introduced the first time as husband and wife is extra special.

Lindsay and Chris’ smiles were ear-to-ear that day. From their grand entrance into the ballroom to their first dance as husband and wife, you can feel the love that they share. Marty from NU Image DJ kept the party going, and what a party it was!  Mary captured wide-angle shots of Lindsay and Chris while I captured some really nice close-ups.  Switching between these two shots in editing allowed us to capture some beautiful emotional shots of their first dance.

Coming soon, the wedding recap of Lindsay and Chris’ wedding day!
